Went and saw Blue Man Group last night, at the Overture Center, for the first time. What an amazing show. They kept the audiance engaged for the entire show. If you haven’t seen these guys you have to go. I see that they are also opening a new show at Universal Studios in Orlando in February.
I loved it when they started to go out into the audience. We have seats at the end of the 6th row, and I ended up looking one of them in the face for a minute and then he had his hand on my head as he looked around the room. Never realized that they had a camera on stage following guys so I was on the big screen also.
The finale was amazing when they toss the lighted balls out into the audience and everyone is tossing them around, then they shoot toilet paper into the air, srteamers come down from the ceiling and big tubes of fabric are blowing over the audience. When they light go out they arsk that you please gently return their balls to the stage.
There are still tickets available for the show at Overture Center in Madison. If you ever have a chance to see Blue Man Group go and see them, you’ll enjoy it I’m sure.
Don’t forget that the Overture Center is only 22 minutes from Naeset-Roe Inn and after a restful nights sleep you’ll get a fabulous breakfast to start your day.
This weekend Canoecopia comes to Madison. March 11-13 at the Alliant Energy Center. The World’s Largest Paddlesports Exposition. Naeset Roe Inn still has a few rooms open for your relaxation after touring all the kayaks and canoes on display and talking to all the people from all over the place that have the best experience all lined up for your adventure. It’s easy to get there from the Inn, and you don’t have to worry about running into some of the “riots” that Fox News is reporting are happening at the Capital. Give us a call at 608-877-4150 and get away from it all.
This is just a reminder that the Big Bead Show is this weekend at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison. The show is open 10-5 on Saturday and 10-4 Sunday. Diakonos Designs will be right next to Midnight Moon in the first row on the right as you enter the show. As usual there’ll be tons of great beads and findings throughout the show for all your upcoming beading projects.
At the Diakonos booth they will be featuring new clay bead designs along with new resin-filled bezel mini-masterpieces highlighting original art by Kathryn Vaughn. They also have an array of new beads from Jon Sutcliffe, who was recently featured in BeadStyle magazine and some value-priced original sterling silver pendants from Mona Semerau. (more…)
