We had 6 judges this year including, Mark and Mike Obois, House of Embers Wisconsin Dells, Justin Draper and Wade Bernander, High Rock Café Wisconsin Dells, Mary Bergin, Roads Traveled Column, and Patricia Simms, Wisconsin State Journal.
Yes the special ingredient was Wild Rice. There were entries ranging from Wild Rice Pancakes, Wild Rice Soup, and Wild Rice Sausage. All of it was great and had a close finish. In fact only 4 points separated the top 4 finishers.
